Can Fermat's last theorem be proven with simple algebra?
Since my retirement from U.S. High-School-level science teaching, fifteen years ago, I have studied this question, both through the literature and by first-hand research. The multiple strategies I had previously used to verify Fermat's last theorem each has proven to be a failed approach. My current such approach has benefited from many, varied, past mistakes.
I request that interested readers of my two-page report, available at http://vixra.org/pdf/1703.0147v1.pdf
, help me to identify possible mistakes, both minor errors, and fatal flaws, if any, in my current argument. I thank you in advance!
